This all-valve amp has power reducing features making it ideal for different environments from performing on stage to recording in the studio. With a 2-way footswitch available you can turn the gain boost and the FX loop on and off. The Origin 50C allows you to add in an extra level of gain using the footswitchable gain boost feature to create extra distortion in your sound, and using the tilt control will blend the tone from normal to high treble- all the to the left is warm and full whilst all the way to the right is brighter and more cutting. From performing on stage to practising in the studio, the new power reducing technology, PowerstemTM allows you to have high, medium or low power modes to work with your environment. PowerstemTM works by reducing the voltage rails around the power amplifier rather than using our traditional pentode/triode reduction methods. This offers power reduction s without changing the sonic character and so provides optimum tone and performance regardless of the volume level required by guitarists. Meaning you can play at lower volumes, while still maintaining the sought after characteristics of playing a valve amplifier at higher outputs. Couple this with use of the \’presence\’ control, which increases the high frequency content and you have the ability to create great tones and any volume level.
